Primus Merlot Top At Auction

At the recent El Dorado County Art and Wine Festival in Placerville, a signed bottle of our 2005 Merlot fetched a winning bit of $1700. In 2007 we were honored to discover that a winning bidder paid $1300 for the last bottle of our 2004 Estate Zinfandel. This year we are again honored that our hard work is producing wines that are so desirable and appreciated.

We are proud to be able to contribute to the Art and Wine Festival. Thank you to everyone who attended this year's event.

Primus Commitment to Limited Production & Access

Primus is committed to keeping our total wine production to no more than 3000 cases a year, and to the production of only our 4 signature varietals. We impose this limit by choice in order to maintain the highest quality product possible.

Primus wines are only available directly from the winery and through membership in the Primus Wine Society. We never sell to distributors or restaurants. We have never entered our wines into competitions or participated in wine tasting events outside our own tasting room. By doing this we focus on crafting our premium products and making your association with Primus Vineyards an exclusive, and memorable experience.
